The International Engineering Fair is the most important industrial fair in Central Europe with an annual attendance of more than 1 600 exhibitors and 80 000 visitors. More than 50% of exhibitors and 10% of visitors arrive from abroad. Ninety-eight percent of exhibitors have established contacts with potential domestic or foreign customers.
Visitors are mostly highly skilled, with 79% of visitors deciding or co-deciding on investing and buying, a third of them belong to top management. More than half of the visitors see the main contribution of the fair in the presented novelties, new technology and contacts.
Main themes of MSV include industrial automation, presentation of measuring, control, automation and control technology covering all the fields of the trade fair. Electronics, automation and measuring technology are the third-largest specialized sectors of MSV after machining technology and materials and components for mechanical engineering.
MSV has traditionally enjoyed great media attention; over four hundred journalists are usually accredited. The fair includes a cutting-edge supporting programme of conferences, seminars and workshops on current technical, business and economic topics.
